SEW-RETRO GreaseTM has been specially formulated with the proper melting point and lubricating qualities for vintage & antique sewing machines, including the Singer Featherweight 221 & 222K... some attachments need grease sometimes, too! SEW-RETRO GreaseTM is appropriate for any and all sewing machines with all-metal gears. (Do not use this lube with any plastic or nylon gears.)
Each SEW-RETRO GreaseTM comes with an instruction sheet for application as well as a port-cleaning tool so you can clean out the motor ports of the old grease. You can also use a Q-tip or hollow cotton swab (with both cotton swab ends cut off) as a replacement port-cleaning tool.

A felt drip pad liner is used to collect the excess oil from your Singer Featherweight 221 and 222 Model Sewing Machines. This listing is for the 221 Felt Drip Pad.
If there is oil residue on your finger after depressing it into the old pad, then it is time for a new Felt Drip Pad!
Simply remove the old one after removing the metal tray on the bottom of your machine, peel the paper off the new pad and adhere it in place. (You may need to clean the excess oil and old pad adhesives from the tray before applying the new pad.)

Fits the Featherweight! Open-Toe Quarter Inch 1/4" quilt piecing attachment - scant 1/4-inch seams with precision! Greater visibility for stitching half-square triangles (HST) and paper piecing (see photos). If you happen to have the Graduated Throat Plate, then the 1/4" line leads your eye right to the edge of the foot for a scant 1/4" seam allowance. Otherwise, using the right edge of the foot as you can see in the photos is what you will align your fabric seam allowance to when stitching. Because of the openness of the foot, you have to stitch a little bit slower as you come to the end of your stitching line and the edge of the fabric, so that the feed dogs will guide the fabric straight.
This foot also works really, really well for paper piecing because you can see the stitching lines so clearly all along the stitch path.
